Moscow is a very popular tourist destination in Russia. Firstly, it’s the capital of Russia, the symbol of the country. Secondly, Moscow is a vivid city with a huge number of places to visit and things to do. Whether you like historical places or contemporary sights, you’ll certainly find awesome distractions.
Keep in mind that the season from May to October is the peak tourist season in Moscow. Thus, if you want to stay in a nice place, book accommodation as early as possible.
IMPORTANT : Since March 2022, Booking, Agoda and Hostelworld do not allow booking accommodations in Russia. Instead of them, use Yandex, Bronevik or Ostrovok. These services are less known, but they are reliable and have a good selection of accommodations.

TIPS ON BOOKING HOTELS IN MOSCOW
- If you spend 3–4 days in Moscow, think of booking hotels close to the city centre. Moscow is a big city. Though public transportation works well, getting from one location to another is time-consuming.
- As you see, staying in the centre of Moscow is not as crazily expensive as it may seem. The downtown of Moscow is full of beautiful parks, wide avenues, great museums, and places to eat out.
- Remember that it is highly advisable to book hotels in Moscow in advance.
